Gov. Paterson has proposed a 50% reduction in operating aid to public broadcasting. If adopted, this budget cut will seriously impair the ability of New York’s PBS stations to produce local broadcast programming and deliver education programs, both on and off air, to K-12 teachers and students across the state.
